Madurai Corporation Schools of Class XII Put on an Impressive Performance

The Madurai Corporation Schools of Class XII have achieved a pass percentage of 92.51% in the board exam results. Out of the 2,270 students who wrote the exam, as many as 2,100 passed. Navalar Somasundara Bharathiyar school topped with a pass percentage of 99.30, followed by Ponmudiyar Corporation Higher Secondary School and Kasturba Gandhi HSS with 98.39% and 97.96% respectively. The pass percentage this year is slightly lower than last year's 95.58%, mainly due to the pandemic gap and lack of focus on Class XI subjects. However, the number of students scoring centums in different subjects has increased from 14 last year to 48 this year, with accountancy topping with 14 centums. A Sabrul Haseena from Ponmudiyar school and R Devashree from Kasturba Gandhi school shared the first place among corporation school students with 585 marks.
