Through Pramod Madhav: Noted On Monday, LTTE chief Velupillai Prabakaran was said to be alive and will soon make an appearance in public, according to Tamil nationalist leader Pazha Nedumaran. According to reports, Sri Lankan authorities shot and killed Prabhakaran in 2009.

Pazha Nedumaran claimed that "the worldwide (political) situation and with the emergence of the Lankan people to topple Rajapakse regime has created the perfect situation for our leader to emerge."

Nedumaran claimed that the statement would put an end to "planned" rumours that the LTTE commander was not doing well.

"I'm pleased to inform the entire Tamil community worldwide that Prabhakaran is doing well. This would put a stop to the fabricated and persistent rumours about him "Nedumaran furthered.

Pazha Nedumaran also promised to shortly reveal his plans to release the Thamizhizham people. He claimed that while the LTTE was still strong, they prevented any forces hostile to India from gaining ground in the areas they controlled in Sri Lanka.

The Tamil nationalist leader claimed that China was trying to incite hostility against India and that Beijing had seized control of the Indian Ocean. He asked the Indian government to put an end to this.

Nedumaran claimed that Prabhakaran was prepared to unveil a strategy for the emergence of the Eelam Tamils in Sri Lanka very soon. He urged Tamils worldwide, including those in Sri Lanka, to unite and give Prabhakaran their unwavering support.

According to earlier accounts, Prabhakaran died in the 2009 conflict between the Sri Lankan Army and the LTTE. The Tamil word for "Eelam" refers to the Tamil people's ancestral abode.
